1995-97 Bayern Munich Home Helmer #5

Home shirt as worn in the run to the '96 UEFA Cup triumph and when the side won the Bundesliga title in boss Giovanni Trapattoni's first season in charge. Helmer joined Bayern from rivals Dortmund in controversial circumstances in 1992. Dortmund didn't want to sell the German to Bayern and agreed on a deal with Lyon for the defender; however, only three months later, Lyon sold Helmer to Bayern for a record fee for Bayern at the time. The German defender made 191 appearances for FC Hollywood, scoring 24 times before joining Sunderland in 1999.
